Kite & Wing Cruise in the Greek Islands

In Paros (Paroikia). Fly direct or via Athens/Mykonos and a short ferry. Meet by 17:00 on departure day, check out 10:00 a week later. Trips run back to back from June to September; every date is in the Dates section.

The easiest way is a direct flight to Paros airport (PAS), then a 10-minute taxi to the port in Paroikia. You can also fly to Athens and take a ferry from Rafina or Piraeus (3–4 hours, several a day), or fly to Mykonos and take a short ferry across. The transfer to the boat isn't included, but taxis are easy to find and we're happy to recommend one. Arriving early? Drop your bags on the boat and explore Paroikia.

Summer, when the meltemi blows. This north wind across the Aegean is most reliable from late June to early September and is often strongest in July and August. June and September tend to be a little lighter and quieter. We sail every week of the season and move the boat to wherever the wind is best that day.

Expect anything from about 15 knots to 30+ in the meltemi, so quivers here run small. Kites: 9 and 11m for heavier riders, 7 and 9m for lighter riders. Wings: 4 and 5m for heavier riders, 3 and 4m for lighter riders. Rather not fly with gear? We can arrange kites and wings sized for the meltemi.

Two ways to book, both all-inclusive. Hosting, captain and crew, cabin, all meals, fuel, boat insurance, port fees, cleaning, and guiding are all in one price, plus SUPs, snorkelling gear, and Wi-Fi on board. A cabin for two is €4,500, or take the whole boat as a private cruise for €13,500 (all three cabins, up to six guests). Book by November 30, 2026 for €3,800 and €11,400 respectively. Gear rental on request.

Your travel to Paros and back, and any dinners ashore in the island villages. The local tavernas are good value. Gear rental is extra if you need it. Everything else on board is covered.

The crew reads the forecast, picks the anchorage, runs the route, and keeps the tender close while you ride. The catamaran reaches spots only a boat can get to, and its stern platform makes launching and landing easy. You just ride.

A Fountaine Pajot Elba 45: a 45-foot sailing catamaran with wide, stable hulls, a big foredeck, a bright saloon and a shaded cockpit. Three private guest cabins, each with its own bathroom, and never more than six guests. The boat is fully self-sufficient, so we don't need to dock in busy harbours. We spend the nights at anchor in quiet, beautiful bays, and take the tender ashore to explore the islands. At the back she has a hydraulic stern platform, so you launch and land your kite or wing right at the water. It makes riding from the boat safer, easier and more fun. Riders who can already ride on their own and upwind. That matters for your safety and for your week, so we don't teach beginners. And yes, non-riders love it too: partners, friends and family come for the swimming, snorkelling, paddle boards, island villages and long days on deck. The trip is designed for adults, so it isn't suited to children.

Yes. You can book a cabin just for yourself, at the same price as a cabin for two. We don't pair up guests who don't know each other in a cabin.

Yes. Days follow the wind, and most evenings we head ashore for a Cycladic village, a harbour walk, and a long Greek dinner.
